Bring Your Pooch and Learn How Easy it is to have a Well-mannered Canine
DEERC Education Chair Kathy Holcomb has invited Jenna Raber, long-experienced dog trainer at the San Antonio Humane Society, to the DEERC property on March 4 to talk about training your dog and she’ll give a real-life demonstration of how easy it is to teach most dogs a few simple commands that will make your life — and theirs — more predictable. Calvin Finch’s Westie, Tillie, is a graduate of two Humane Society classes and a much improved terrier!

Jenna hopes you will bring your dog to the class (on a leash!) to the session and, in her 45-60 minutes with us, she’ll be emphasizing consistency and positive reinforcement. She plans to teach a few commands and leave the rest of the time for questions, including tips on how you can ensure that your beloved pet doesn’t end up at the Humane Society or worse, at the pound at the City of San Antonio’s Animal Care Services.

If you are not familiar with the location, read the directions below. It can be tricky to find the first time.
The DEERC (Dreamhill Estates Education Resource Center) is located at 6800 Dorothy Louise Drive. Note that google maps places this address at the intersection of West Beverly Mae and Dorothy Louise. From that intersection you will see a gravel driveway between two houses. That driveway leads to the DEERC Property.
